Thirteen Inches of Supergirl Goodness
One of my strange obsessions in life is with the character of Supergirl. I’m not really sure why I think she’s awesome, but I think part of it has to do with the fact is that she’s just like Superman… but a hot chick. I’d take being rescued by a hot blonde over a big muscled up freak any day of the week. One new Supergirl figure that has grabbed my attention is a 1:6th scale (13″) Supergirl:

While not as smoking hot as the Tonner version, she’s pretty fly. Supergirl comes with some accessories, but the best one of all is Streaky the Super Cat. I like to call this Silver Age awesomeness. I think the only thing I don’t like about this figure are the legs. They kind of look like like they are covered in nylon or something.
And yes boys and girls, this is a doll and not an action figure. There’s a clear cut difference between the two and it would be impossible for any guy (i.e. me) to purchase something like this without feeling girly.

She doesn’t look enough like Helen Slater. Therefore, it is not canonical!

Nima, I bought the special edition of Supergirl simply because I had to. Wow, what a shitty movie, but at least it had a few shots of a live action woman in a Supergirl outfit flying around that weren’t completely horrible… and there’s Jimmy Olsen for the Superman films so that’s something.
But seriously the plot made no sense at all.

There was a plot?

the legs ARE covere din nylon - it’s DCD’s way of trying to “hide” the joints. For more on that, follow this link (sure to increase our google ranking) of Power Girl holding her own boobs…
