The Top Toy Ads with Celebrity Guest Stars

by Paul

I was going to try really hard to find a comic book ad to make fun of you kids (I’m really low on Toy Ads that Time Forgot ammo if you haven’t noticed), but when I found this Nerf ad staring Seth Green on a blog called OverTimeComedy.com I knew I had a winner for this week. My research pulled up similar videos videos so I cobbled together a theme post for you. So without further ado, Here’s the top toy commercials featuring celebrity guest stars.

1. Seth Green

Before he was Scott Evil in Austin Powers, before he appeared on Buffy, or even before he had one thought about Robot Chicken, Seth Green was a nerd that proved it early on in his career with his role in this ad for Nerf toys. By God Seth Green, the horror. The clothes, the hidious hair, the Nerf, and the tough guy attitude… it’s all so brilliantly awful, like a unicorn taking a dump.

2. Jodi Foster

If you blinked within the first three seconds of this toy you probably missed her, but that was indeed Jodi Foster. It’s a source of contention in my household whether or not that’s Foster’s real voice or not. To me it sounds like an older woman playing a young girl (which is damned creepy), but the way her lines come out do sort of have that weird Jodi Foster drawl. Either way, this ad for Small Shots is over shadowed by her next toy commercial….

3. Jodi Foster and… Henry Fonda

It’s not that unusual to see a big movie star hawking some horrible product in a stupid commercial when they are younger and will do anything for a sandwich, but this View-Master commercial features an older Henry Freaking Fonda along with a very young Jodi Foster.

*mind explodes*

4. Jennifer Love Hewitt:

Jennifer Love Hewitt sure knows how to sell a Barbie. This video might not be as shocking as the one floating around of a twelve year old Jennifer Love Hewitt in the work out video entitled, Dance! Workout With Barbie, but I don’t feel like being arrested today.

5. Jim McMahon

I must apologize. I realize you can never get the images of the a nearly nude Superbowl Shuffle rapper out of your mind. Just be thankful that it wasn’t William “The Refrigerator” Perry.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is smokin’ hot. I mean now, not in her maniacal Barbie phase. She looks way too creepy in that commercial.
