Toy Hunt: G.I. Joe Vehicle Find

After a score of bad luck that lead to not finding anything G.I. Joe related that I wanted, I finally came upon two vehicle packs that were quickly becoming frustrating. I finally scored a F.A.N.G./C.L.A.W. pack as well as a Firebat. Woot.
I initially bought the F.A.N.G. and Cobra C.L.A.W. two pack for the C.L.A.W., which was a highly cool item I never had the chance of owning, much like the trouble bubble. I never really cared for the open cockpit of the Fang, but it really is the stand out of this set. The CLAW is a new mold that really doesn’t succeed. The plastic feels cheap and not as solid as the original. It also only comes with two out of the four missiles it needs to be fully armed. To make matters worse, the wing tips no longer extend and the ailerons don’t move at all. What the hell?
To illustrate the differences, check out this comparison shot someone posted on the YoJoe.com forums:
Some may think I’m being picky, but when a toy is stripped of some of it’s extras, then it isn’t as desirable to me. The thing about the C.L.A.W. is that it was a remote vehicle or a super awesome glider. Now it’s a jet pack that looks like it belongs to a clone trooper.
The FANG is thankfully much, much better. It feels sturdier and looks sweet. It is a pretty tight fit in the cockpit and makes the set worth purchasing. The figures? Well, a repainted viper and Cobra trooper with gas mask helmet really don’t do a whole lot for me.
The Firebat is simply awesome. I must own a Terror Drome now. It’s such a freaking tease.

I wish I could find these… And all of wave 10. I actually might be one of the only people who really likes the Cobra trooper with gas mask. It’s about the only reason I want the set. I do want the Firebat too, but I will probably have to pass on both of these because of my strict budge right now.
But as for me and my house, we(I) am really excited for Outback coming out in a vehicle set even though it is a long way off. I’m planning on getting two so I can mod one into Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3. The head is near perfect, if not a little more rugged.

My thoughts exactly.
