Toynami at SDCC 2007
Whew, just when I thought I was done sharing the pics and news from Comic-Con it just keeps coming. In case you’re unfamiliar with Toynami, they produce toys from some of my most hated of all toy lines included things from Dragon Ball, Inuyasha, and *shiver* Naruto. However, they also make Voltron, Robotech, and Futurama so I have a sort of love/hate relationship with them.

Futurama
There was a decent sized case all full of Futurama goodness. I love Futurama and ever since the Simpsons stopped being funny about fifteen years ago, it’s my favorite animated series. Well, except for my unholy love of Frisky Dingo… but we shall not talk about that here.

How on Earth can they make a disembodied head of Nixon action figure? Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty cool, but it’s just such an odd thing. It really must suck to be a public figure.

Zoidberg is one of the greatest characters in animation history. Woop woop woop woop woop woop.

And because Zoidberg rules, there’s some great variants. Awesome!

Here’s the ever popular Bender and yes, that would be a toy Bender. NO! There is no relation between that and the blog name. For the record, I did not name the blog. Oh yeah, that’s a cardboard cutout of Kif to Bender’s right.

This is very blurry and dark picture is the Robot Devil, who is the line’s build-a-figure.
Robotech
One of the few anime-type shows I can stand is Robotech and even then I prefer the books over the show itself. Yes, I am insane.

Voltron
The toy line for Voltron is pretty stagnant with the exception of the amazingly cool Masterpiece edition Voltron. However, there was some Voltron apparel that was pretty rocking including Voltron shoes. There was a shoe for each of the lions. Unbelievable.

I have my Blue Zoidberg on order, but I’m still looking for Fry and regular Zoidberg. And Zoidberg definitely rules!!
