Transformers San Diego Comic Con Exclusive
Transformers fans, begin to poop your pants… or not. I’m not sure how desirable the Transformers exclusive at Comic Con is, but to me it’s pretty neat looking. It’s the super duper evil version of Optimus Prime, Snidely Nemesis Prime. You can tell he’s evil because of his black paint scheme and his goatee. Ask anyone who knows how to identify evil twin robots, they always are painted black and they have facial hair of some sort.

Transformers fans, is this a big deal? I never know what’s going on with you guys. I see certain Transformers pics and think it’s cool and then find out that it’s an exclusive that is worth hundreds of dollars. Is this going to be of that ilk? Your ways confuse and frighten me sometimes.

I don’t know… I’m sure you’ll see this going for mucho deniro on ebay though. They sure are getting their mileage out of this mold, what with Prime, Magnus, Mirror Universe Prime, and now Nemesis Prime.

I don’t think it’s as big a deal as Botcon exclusives–SDCC exclusives in general are made in a larger release and easier to come by–but I could see how it could run a solid 50 bucks easy on the after market.
What’s weird is that Botcon and SDCC are both repainting the same mold as an exclusive this year.

Thats old new, old man… I blogged about that long ago. Back when the paint scheme was simply purple and dark gray.

yeah, that’s the Botcon version, which is the Optimus Prime of a Star Trek-style mirror universe. This is Nemesis Prime, the soap opera-style evil twin.
Most Transfans will tell you, Paul, that the black repaint Prime is overdone and played out. But they’re all losers, so eff ‘em. Black Prime repaints are most welcome!
