Trouble in Legoville

Things aren’t going so great in the world of Lego at the moment. A more legitimate news source (i.e. not me), The Associated Press, reports that Lego is running out of toys. Apparently, do to several factors they are sold out of most of their stock before the holiday season.
Its good news that the Danish company is popular enough to face this kind of situation, it’s even worse news that they are actually in it. When people can’t buy your toy during a key period for toy sales, that’s a lot of lost money that won’t be recouped when Christmas is over. The article states that last year Lego pulled out ahead after losing 1.93 billion kroner in 2004. I’m not sure what that is in real person money, but let’s hope Lego can finish the year in the black with millions of dingle-dangles in revenue or whatever those silly Danes use for money so they can keep making the toys we all love.

That seem to have been pretty short-sighted on their part. I’m kinda surprised unless they were expecting really crappy sales this year for some reason.
