Turtle Power!

by Paul

Well, here’s another quick post to try and satisfy your ravenous and insane desire for more toy coverage before my little trip. I know there’s at least one person that’s interested in Teenage Mutant Turtles that stops by Toy Bender, so I thought I’d put this tasty tidbit of toy news.

ActionFigs.com reports that in January, Playmates is releasing a set of Ninja Turtle figures based off of the new Turtles movie. If you didn’t know or guess by the above image of the poster, TMNT is coming back with new CGI animated film in March of ‘07. You can find a ton of pictures of the new figures here. I really like the look of the turtle in the hooded cape, but I’m a pretty big hooded cape fan in general.

Okay, I can’t write about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without saying in my head…. Cowabunga Dudes! There, I got it out.

Is it just me, or does his head look a little extra flattened in that picture?

  2. Keith Says:

I was wondering the same thing! My son likes TMNT quite a bit. I remember back when it was just a black and white comic book.

  3. Toyrant Says:

The turtles are back! I’d watch the CGI movie, I’ll pass on the toys.

  4. BB Says:

Hmm…I guess the side attack will be a big thing when the movie comes out.

I absolutely love TMNT, I’ve been watching them since I was a kid before I’d go to school. So I really can’t wait for the movie to come out.

  5. Paul Says:

Hey y’all. I think that his head is more in the style of the original turtles. That’s just my guess.

I put this news update for you BB! I knew you liked Turtles.

  6. Gayle Says:

I think you’re right, Paul. It’s been a looong time, since I watched TMNT, but I seem to remember the heads being a little more flattened. It’sll be interesting to see them again!

  7. David Says:

And to think… I thought you put it up for me! I saw the title and was like “Yes, he took my advice!” =)

Who doesn’t love TMNT!? I grew up watching them and had a closet full of their toys and such, which I sadly no longer have. =(

I’ve seen all of the other movies, so I will have to catch this one as well.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  8. familytripdeals Says:

Just curious how old you are:)

My three years old likes them.

  9. BB Says:

Haha…thanks Paul. I had an inkling that you might have put it up since I mentioned it in a comment on my page. Cowabunga!

  10. Teri Stoddard Says:

I think I still have some Ninja Turtle videos a fastfood place sold in the 80’s.
